May 19, 2011 Potential Threat From EHV-1 Forces Show To Cancel
Due to veterinarians concerns about the spread of EHV-1 we have decided to CANCEL our MAY 21,2011, PINTO AND ALL-BREED HORSE SHOW, that was to be held at the J.S. Bridwell Ag. Center in WICHITA FALLS, TX. Show Chairman Sue Ellen Parker notes tthat a this time she has not received any information of EHV-1 in Texas Horses, but several of the larger vet clinics around Abilene, TX and Weatherford, TX have been quarantining their facilities with possible cases of EHV-1.
We have put a lot of hard work into this show, but money and sweat are simply not worth the possibility of someones horse becoming ill or dying. We hope that you
will be patient and continue to support us in the future. We have not re-scheduled the show at this time due to lack of dates available at this facility, but we will keep in touch and let you know when we do re-schedule. Thank you to all who were planning on coming. Please contact anyone you know that was planning on coming and let them know that the MAY 21, 2011 TOPHAT PINTO AND ALL-BREED SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED.
Many questions have been directed towards our office on the recent outbreak of Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1).
