May 2, 2014 Williamson County NSPOT To Present Saving the Prairies of Texas in Travis County and Beyond
Prairies, savannahs and grasslands are unique ecosystems that are vital to the health of our global ecology. Join Executive Director Pat Merkord for an engaging talk about NPAT’s prairie conservation efforts and activities across the state. She will touch on successes such as saving Deer Park Prairie, as well as promote the upcoming State of the Prairie Conference on May 29 – 31 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Williamson County Chapter – NPSOT meets the second Thursday of each month, 7 to 8:30 PM at the Georgetown Public Library, 402 West 8th St, Georgetown, TX, 78626. Meetings are free and open to the public. Arrive early (6:30 PM) for Plant Identification “Clinic” and Seed Swap. Business meeting at 7 pm. Presentations begin promptly at 7:30 pm.
