Training for Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) private pesticide applicator licenses will be held at the Williamson County Extension office on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Training begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. and will be completed by 9:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by calling the Williamson Extension office at 512.943.3300 or on-line at

This evening training is offered due to requests by producers who could not attend day-time training due to other obligations. The four-hour training at the Williamson County Extension office will give participants the necessary information to take the private applicator license test. Any agricultural producer or land owner who applies restricted use pesticides to their own property needs a private pesticide applicators license and may participate.

Persons seeking to acquire a private pesticide applicator’s license must attend a private applicator training prior to their test date. Cost for the training and study materials in Williamson County is $50. Contact the Williamson County Extension office to register and receive your training manuals in advance. The Williamson County Extension office is located at 3151 SE Inner Loop, Suite A in Georgetown.

Since the Texas Department of Agriculture has contracted with PSI to administer the exams for agricultural pesticide applicator licensing, we will no longer be able to have testing available immediately after the training. The closest locations will be in Austin.
