October 22, 2015 Tarrant County Extension Office Hires New Ag Secretary
One of the first tasks for new Tarrant County Ag and Natural Resources Agent Fred M. Hall was to interview and hire a new administrative assistant. From over 100 applicants, several were interviewed , but Hall says, “ we found the perfect combination of life-skills, personality and energy that we where looking for in Brittany Leslie.” Leslie started this past Monday according to Hall.
The Administrative Assistant for the agriculture and natural resource agent helps Hall organize programs and citizens find information in the AgriLife system. “Leslie’s background with the county and her attention to detail in previous positions made her a logical choice to compliment the Extension team in Tarrant County,” says Hall.
Her on-boarding process will include being mentored by other administrative assistants and AgriLife specialists. While the agents and other staff will assist with her training in specific areas, the mentoring program allows for Leslie to acclimate to the agency’s work environment and transition into the organization more efficiently.
Leslie was born and raised in northern New Hampshire and graduated from Profile Junior Senior High School in Bethlehem, NH. She attended Granite State College in Concord, NH where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and is currently enrolled for her MBA at University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Leslie has two children, and a husband who enjoy the not so cold winters here in Texas, compared to New Hampshire. Leslie notes, “I look forward to this new career path, and am excited to meet new friends along the way.”
You can contact Leslie at the Texas AgriLife Extension Service office in Tarrant County located at 200 Taylor Street in Fort Worth or by calling 817.884.1945.
