Northwest Iowa Dairy Outlooks

A local discussion of current science and issues concerning dairying in northwest iowa

This year’s Pizza Ranch Ag Awareness Program saw over 1350 fourth and fifth grade students from across Tarrant County walk through a learning experience that focused agriculture production as part of their world.

Over 50 volunteers and industry partners worker together to make the day not only an educational event, but fun for the students. Stops during the day included milking a cow, a fire truck, nutritional games at the My Plate stop, learning about herbs and vegetable plus a visit with a beef cow!

The high light was a the Dominos Pizza “showmen” who tossed pizza dough and twirled it into enormous sizes. Everybody enjoyed pizza, ice cream and milk before ending their fieldtrip.
