Northwest Iowa Dairy Outlooks

A local discussion of current science and issues concerning dairying in northwest iowa

The “Brown Bag” webinar series hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will continue with Dr. Todd Sink presenting aquatic weed management tips on Thursday, September 1. The one-hour interactive webinar starts promptly at 12 noon at the Tarrant Room at the Extension office located at 200 Taylor St. in Fort Worth.

Aquatic vegetation identification and management can be confusing for many pond and lake owners, and there is no single management practice or treatment that can be applied to control a majority of species. Join us as Dr. Sink examines how to visually identify most common and problematic aquatic vegetation species in Texas, and learn the various management options available for each species.

Sink is an assistant professor in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Science at Texas A&M University and an Aquaculture & Fisheries AgriLife Extension Specialist. He also serves as publications chair for the Southern Regional Aquaculture Center and is a member of the Texas Plant Management Society.

While there is no fee for this program, but if you want the Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education credit there is a $10 fee. Pre-registration is required on-line registration at:
